In this image from Meg's Overcast workshop, Meg is going to show you how to create beautiful shadows in an overcast image where the light would otherwise be pretty flat. Watch as she uses the existing highlights and shadows to create a beautifully dimensional image. See in this Photoshop editing tutorial how Meg removes distractions and then moves into adjusting the light in order to put the focus squarely on her beautiful subject. Next she will adjust the color tones in her image and make sure that the colors lend themselves to drawing the user into the image and featuring the subject even more. In the end, we have a soft glamorous image which is illuminated beautifully and is exactly what Meg wants.
I always struggle with how to make overcast images "pop" more and I want to learn to make the best of an overcast shoot. This video really lets you see Meg's thought process behind each adjustment layer and is easy to follow. All of the adjustments culminate in a gorgeous image with beautiful tones and natural-looking illumination of the subject. I can't wait to try it on my own overcast photos. Thanks Meg!
