Foundations of Winter Wonderlands - December 2022

Join Jessica Hatlen in a private immersive group experience where you will work together to learn to create magical winter wonderland composite creations!! This Foundations course is open to ALL skill levels, and each level will learn and benefit from this month with Jessica!

Foundations of Holiday Magic will begin on December 5th and will continue for 4 weeks. Each Tuesday, Jessica will post an instructional video and each Monday, a critique video from Jessica will be posted.

Week 1: December 5 - For our first week we will be working with different tones and textures and how they affect our snowy outdoor images and how to properly blend and add shadows in snowy scenes.
Week 2: December 12 - For week two we will be learning how to use the Painterly Technique for our snow scenes, including how to use the Mixer Brush Tool to give our images that dreamy Painterly feel.
Week 3: December 19 - On week three we will be working on snowy close up portraiture, and how to incorporate and composite in storytelling elements into our close up portraits.
Week 4: December 26 - For our final week of class we will be doing snowy outdoor scenes involving animals with our subjects, including how to properly blend in subjects and assets into bright snowy scenes.
