Foundations of Steampunk - June 2023

Join Jessica Hatlen in a private immersive group experience where you will work together to learn the basics of creating Steampunk themed composites!! This Foundations course is open to ALL skill levels, and each level will learn and benefit from this month with Jessica!

Foundations of Steampunk will begin on June 5th and will continue for 4 weeks. Each Tuesday, Jessica will post an instructional video and each Monday, a critique video from Jessica will be posted.

Week 1: For our first week we will discuss what steampunk is, and key elements needed in our imagery to aid in building our steampunk scenes, including color toning and textures.
Week 2: This week we will be working with outdoor steampunk settings, capturing the dusty desert wasteland and building our stories using elements from these settings and how to edit in a way that gives the impression of dusty dry environments and how to blend our subjects into these settings.
Week 3: For our third week we will be taking it airborne and creating sky high Steampunk imagery featuring storytelling elements like blimps and airships and how to build our images into sky scenery properly.
Week 4: For our final week we will be working on indoor steampunk rooms, covering the maximalist victorian style that is an important aspect of this genre.

A file detailing how to join the course group and the secret code will be available to download as a PNG file after purchase. You will have to provide your email address AND the secret code provided in order to join the private group! You will be approved individually, shortly BEFORE the experience begins.
