Foundations of Fairy Composites - June 2022

Join Jessica Hatlen in a private immersive group experience where you will work together to create beautiful fairy composites!! This Foundations course is open to ALL skill levels, and each level, from beginner to advanced, will learn and benefit from this month with Jessica!

Foundations of Fairy Composites will begin on June 6th and will continue for 4 weeks. Each Tuesday, Jessica will post an instructional video for you to view, with an assignment. Assignments are due the following Sunday, and Jessica will choose 5 images from the submissions for critique. Critique videos will be posted on Mondays.

Week 1: June 6 -This week we will be working on sizing and storytelling with our fairies. We will focus on color balancing and how to create elements like glowing wings.
Week 2: June 13 - This week we will be working on creating our fairy world backgrounds from scratch. We will be going in depth on how to build the backgrounds to feel magical and fairy like.
Week 3: June 20 - This week we will be creating Storytelling images involving magical creatures in our fairy worlds. We will be covering how to design a cohesive interaction between our fairies and creatures.
Week 4: June 27 - On our final week we will be creating fairy images that are in dark settings. We will be focusing on how to light a dark image and bring glow to elements in the image.
